Man Sees a Puppy Lying on Train Tracks – Then Realizes It’s Not Alone

The car ride home was quiet except for the sound of soft breathing. Tracks sat upright, watching the road like a co-pilot; Switch curled in the blanket, paws twitching in dreams.

At a red light, Thomas glanced at them and smiled. “You two nearly gave a train driver a heart attack,” he said. “Guess that makes us even.”

The city faded behind them, replaced by fields of gold and the rhythmic hum of the tires. For the first time in years, Thomas felt like he was driving toward something, not away.

He didn’t know what tomorrow held—but he was sure it would have paw prints all over it.
